2 New Products I Don't Have Any Cards From

2013 Bowman Inception and 2013 Topps Pro Debut. 1 is a new thing Topps is trying that they first did with football. And Pro Debut is one I actually like. The problem is they aren't easy to come by. You have to purchase a whole entire box just to get some.

I really liked what Topps did with Inception. Nice clean, flashy cards. Just like the rookie Cardinals pitcher Shelby Miller.

Clean and flashy.

I like the design and all, but I don't know about you, but I just can't fork over $100-$200 for a bunch of prospect autos that may never do anything in the Major Leagues. Yet, if I can find them on the cheap on ebay or COMC I'll probably pounce on them.

The next product that Topps recently released was 2013 Topps Pro Debut. And most likely the most anticipated card that was in the checklist is this guy's card.

It's already going for $10 on Ebay.

He's definitely lived up to all the hype and them some. Now it will just be interesting if he can get into the
All-Star game.

Back to Pro Debut. I like what Topps did with this set as well this year. They didn't try to change to much, which is exactly what they needed to do. Yet, the biggest change that they did make this year is inserting patch cards of MiLB mascots.

I know I like these. Yet, with my small budget and Topps not making this set retail, I probably won't be able to acquire most of these cards.

In conclusion, I like both of these sets, but without either of them being retail I won't be able to get my hands on a lot of the cards that they produced.

I also forgot to mention that I am back from soccer camp and I will try to keep posting as often as I can. Sometimes it's hard to find topics worthy of posting about.

Well, I hope all of you enjoy your Monday, and thanks for reading. Have a great time blogging! :)

  1. I'm not big on the high end-super fancy sets like Inception, but those auto cards look cool. Still a little too pricey on eBay at the moment, but there's a Casey Kelly card that looks cool that I've got my eyes on. Already got his auto on a ball in Spring Training, though, so I'll only bite if it's cheap enough.

I can understand Inception being a hobby only set, but Pro Debut should be retail. Aside from the handful of players that I know in the minors, it's fun just looking at all the unfamiliar teams and uniforms.

  2. Has Night Owl seen that night card? I'd buy a few packs of Pro Debut if they were retail.
